Respect Life 5K Website
Father Francis Syrianey Council #12567 is asking for your council’s support for the 13th annual Respect Life 5K Run/Walk on July 20th, 2024. The purpose of this event is to raise money for the Knights of Columbus Ultrasound Initiative Program to aid in the purchase of a 3D Ultrasound machine for a pregnancy crisis center in Colorado. 3D Ultrasounds have proven to significantly decrease the incidents of abortion if an expectant mother sees images of her unborn child.

The Respect Life 5K has become an annual event to raise awareness and support for this wonderful cause. We encourage anyone in your council who is interested to participate in the race, and to encourage others in your Parish to be a part of the celebration. Participants can register on a team (K of C Council or Parish team categories) or as an individual. Team members are eligible for both team and individual awards. 5K participants receive a race T-shirt and entrance into the prize raffle. There is also a free pancake breakfast to all participants and their supporters, prepared by Council #12567. A kid’s fun run and other activities will immediately follow the 5K.
As a council, you will have the opportunity to network with other Knights, Catholics, and “Lovers of Life” in a fun and positive environment. Various opportunities for support exist within the structure of the event with several donation and/or participation options (see below):
Examples of sponsorship and/or support opportunities:
Field a team(s) of runners/walkers:
K of C team - At least four Knights from your council in good standing (no maximum #)
Parish team – A minimum of four parishioners from your parish (at least one female, no maximum #)
Can be a member of only one team (no double dipping!)

Checks should be made out to “Knights of Columbus Council 12567” and mailed to the address below.

The Respect Life 5K event will take place at Light of the World Roman Catholic Church, 10316 W. Bowles Ave., Littleton, CO 80127, on July 22nd at 8:00 am.
